Staff from Rep. Eli Crane's office held "Staff Mobile Office Hours" in Eagar on Wednesday, giving Apache County residents a direct line to federal casework assistance without leaving eastern Arizona. The sessions were open to any constituent needing help navigating federal agencies, with staff taking scheduled, one-on-one appointments on the spot.

Residents of Arizona's 2nd Congressional District can bring a wide range of federal concerns to Crane's staff through the casework program. To streamline an inquiry, constituents are asked to be prepared to provide information such as a Social Security number for Social Security cases, a VA claim number for Department of Veterans Affairs matters, or a taxpayer identification number for IRS problems.

The Eagar stop is part of a broader mobile outreach effort that targets rural areas in eastern Arizona, where driving hours to a district office can make federal help feel out of reach. Crane's office has framed the mobile sessions as a core constituent service. Since January, Crane's staff has returned more than $4 million to residents in tax refunds, veterans benefits, and other federal claims — a figure the office has highlighted as evidence of the program's impact across the sprawling district.

The program mirrors a format Crane's office has also used in Yavapai County, where a listing for "Congressman Eli Crane - STAFF Mobile Office Hours" shows a venue at Cottonwood Public Library, Meeting Room A. That event listing describes the same one-on-one appointment model: "Staff of Congressman Crane will take scheduled appointments during that time to sit down one-on-one with any constituents that may need assistance from our office with any of the Federal agencies."

Whether the Cottonwood listing and the Eagar session are stops on a coordinated district-wide tour or independently scheduled events was not confirmed. Crane's office had not provided a full schedule of upcoming mobile office hours locations or dates at the time of the Eagar event.

Crane has served as the U.S. representative for Arizona's 2nd congressional district since 2023. The district spans a vast stretch of rural and tribal land across northeastern and central Arizona, making in-person constituent outreach logistically challenging. Eagar, sitting in the Round Valley at roughly 7,000 feet elevation along the border of Apache and Greenlee counties, is among the more remote population centers in the district.
