Road to 250 Traveling Museum Visits Navajo Technical University Chinle Campus

The Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum made its Chinle stop today at Navajo Technical University's campus, open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as part of the Arizona America250 Commission's effort to carry a national commemoration to all 15 of the state's counties. The Chinle visit is one of several Northern Arizona stops on the itinerary, with the tour continuing to Page and Fredonia.

Presented by Banner Health and organized by the Arizona America250 Commission, the mobile exhibition launched February 14, 2026 in Prescott, the original capital of the Arizona Territory, on Arizona Statehood Day. The commission announced the full 15-county program on January 26, 2026, from Phoenix.

Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, who chairs the Arizona America250 Commission, emphasized the tour's reach into communities across the state. "Road to 250 is about making this milestone accessible to every Arizonan," Fontes said. "By traveling to communities across the state, this museum invites people to reflect on our shared history, celebrate Arizona's role in America's story, and consider how each of us contributes to the next chapter of our democracy."

The Arizona America250 Commission describes itself as a nonpartisan effort to commemorate the nation's 250th anniversary by honoring Arizona's role in American history, celebrating stories from across the state, and inspiring civic pride in all communities.
