Round Valley State Title Brings Pride, Raises Community Health Questions

On December 2, 2025 Round Valley High School won the state football championship, a victory the Town of Eagar publicly marked by congratulating players, coaches and families and by thanking residents for their support. The town encouraged community celebration and emphasized football as an element of Round Valley identity in the region. The immediate reaction has been widespread local pride and an influx of attention on the school and surrounding towns.

High school sports serve as a social glue in many rural communities, providing structure for youth, gathering points for families and economic activity for nearby businesses.
