Michigan offers Prattville star Deshawn Hall after Ann Arbor visit
Michigan's offer sent Prattville wideout Deshawn Hall into an even bigger national spotlight, adding a Big Ten blue blood to a list already heavy with SEC powers.

Michigan’s offer to Deshawn Hall gave Prattville another national recruiting headline, and it came after the 6-foot-6 wide receiver visited Ann Arbor and quickly locked in a trip to see the Wolverines. For Prattville High School, it was another sign that the school’s football pipeline is producing a player major programs now see as a Big Ten and SEC-level target.
Hall, a class of 2027 prospect listed around 6-foot-5 to 6-foot-6 and 185 to 190 pounds, already had one of the deepest offer lists in the country. ESPN’s April 1 update listed 25 schools, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Troy, UConn, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia. That kind of attention has made Hall one of the most closely watched prospects in Alabama.
The Michigan connection stands out because Hall grew up rooting for the Wolverines, and that personal tie helped make the offer feel bigger than just another line on a recruiting sheet. On3’s visit tracker listed Michigan among his “cool” visits, and Hall’s spring slate also included Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, Clemson, Florida and Alabama. He was already moving through a heavy run of campus stops when Michigan entered the picture.
Hall’s rise has been built on more than size alone. 247Sports says he transferred into Prattville and caught 40 passes for 660 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games as a junior, production that helped turn him from a promising athlete into a national name. Local and regional coverage has already labeled him one of Alabama’s top 2027 wide receiver prospects, and his highlight reel has only reinforced that reputation with athletic catches and strong ball skills.
He has also shown why schools continue to recruit him as a multi-sport standout. 247Sports lists Hall as the Alabama Independent School Association Player of the Year in basketball as a sophomore and says he averaged 19.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, 3.5 steals and 3.2 assists over 30 games. That blend of length, explosiveness and production is exactly what gives Prattville another shot at turning a local standout into a national college star.
