The Millbrook City Council adopted a new official city logo April 15, a move leaders said is meant to give the fast-growing city a more unified and recognizable identity as development continues. The design will be used across official materials with guidance from a brand style guide, signaling a broader effort to standardize how City of Millbrook communications look in public.

The new logo centers on a mill wheel, a direct reference to the city’s name and historic roots. It also includes water imagery and green design elements, details city leaders said were chosen to reflect the waterways, parks and quality of life that help define Millbrook’s image. The branding is intended to work on signs, publications and digital platforms while still staying connected to the place itself.

Millbrook’s growth gives the decision added weight. The city sits in Elmore and Autauga counties, about 10 miles north of Montgomery, and the Encyclopedia of Alabama describes it as one of the fastest growing cities in central Alabama. Census figures show the city had 14,640 residents in 2010 and 16,564 in the 2020 Census. The latest Census estimate listed on QuickFacts puts the population at 17,392 in 2024.

That growth helps explain why city leaders are pushing for a more consistent visual identity. A common logo can shape how residents, visitors and businesses recognize city notices, public updates and future announcements. It can also support economic-development messaging as Millbrook continues to expand beyond its longtime core.

Mill Creek winding through Village Green, a downtown park, provides one more reason the water theme fits the city’s story. The new logo tries to pull those pieces together, mixing the city’s historic name with the landscape and public spaces that define it today.

City Hall is at 3160 Main Street in Millbrook, and the city lists its phone number as (334) 285-6428. With the logo now adopted, the city will begin presenting one more consistent face to a community that is changing quickly.
