Prattville Defensive Back DJ Walton Commits to LaGrange College
Prattville DB DJ Walton committed to LaGrange College, choosing the Georgia liberal arts school for his next football chapter.
DJ Walton, a defensive back for Prattville High School, committed to LaGrange College on Monday, choosing the Division III program in LaGrange, Georgia, to continue his football career.
Walton's commitment adds to a growing list of Prattville Lions making their way to the collegiate level. LaGrange College, a private liberal arts institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church, competes in the USA South Athletic Conference and has built a competitive football program at the Division III level.
For Walton, the decision marks the culmination of his time in Prattville's defensive backfield, where defensive backs are tasked with anchoring a secondary that faces some of the toughest competition in the AHSAA Class 6A landscape. LaGrange sits roughly three hours east of Prattville along Interstate 85, putting Walton close enough for home crowds to make the trip for games.
The commitment was announced March 17, 2026.
