Prattville Firehouse Subs offers free sandwich for Mikes Wednesday
Prattville’s Firehouse Subs at 2586 Cobbs Ford Road will hand out free medium Steak & Cheese Melts Wednesday to customers with Mike-family IDs.

The Prattville Firehouse Subs at 2586 Cobbs Ford Road is set to give away a free medium Steak & Cheese Melt on Wednesday, May 6, to customers whose names fall in the Mike family. Qualifying guests include Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michelle, Michele and Michaela.
The offer is limited to one visit per qualifying guest and does not require a purchase, but customers must show a valid government-issued ID with a qualifying name at redemption. The promotion is being run at participating Firehouse Subs restaurants across the United States, and the Prattville location on Cobbs Ford Road is among the stores taking part.

Firehouse Subs is using the giveaway to spotlight its new Steak & Cheese Melt, which the company says is built with USDA Choice prime rib, flame-seared steak, melted provolone, brown sugar caramelized onions, red and green bell peppers and mayo on the brand’s signature top-cut roll. The chain says a medium sandwich contains 42 grams of protein, a detail that gives the playful promotion a more substantial hook than a standard menu launch.

The company traces its roots to Jacksonville, Florida, where former firefighting brothers Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen founded Firehouse Subs in 1994. Firehouse Subs now operates as a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International, and its Public Safety Foundation says it has awarded more than $107 million to local first responders across North America. The company also says a portion of each purchase supports that foundation.

For Prattville and the rest of Autauga County, the giveaway turns a routine sandwich stop into a one-day draw on a busy commercial corridor. The Cobbs Ford Road location sits in the middle of everyday errands, lunch runs and after-work traffic, making the promotion the kind of lighthearted local business story that can pull attention beyond the customers named Mike. Firehouse Subs said the promotion was issued by proclamation of President Mike Hancock, adding another playful layer to a campaign built around a single name and a new sandwich.
