Victory Christian Academy breaks ground on expansion after city approval
Victory Christian Academy won city approval for an expansion that will add classrooms, bathrooms and a lunch space, with crews aiming to work before fall classes.

Victory Christian Academy is turning a final-day celebration into new classroom space after Millbrook cleared the school’s expansion plans.
The Millbrook City Council approved the academy’s site development plans on May 12, and students, faculty and staff gathered the next day, May 13, for a ceremonial groundbreaking on the school’s last day of classes. The project at 3151 Highway 14 will add classrooms, bathrooms and a new lunch space, a practical response to a campus that school leaders say needs more room as it grows.

Danny Webb of Webb Builders Inc. told the council the goal was to get started as soon as school let out and move as much of the work as possible before students return in the fall. That timeline makes the summer break the key window for visible progress, with construction expected to advance while the campus is empty.
Principal Jill Pastorelli used the groundbreaking as a teaching moment, gathering students and staff for the ceremony and reading from Psalm 127. She framed the day as both a sign of growth and a reminder of the opportunities ahead for the school community.
The expansion carries added weight because Victory Christian Academy has been part of Millbrook since 1971, when it began as an education ministry of Victory Baptist Church. The school says it has grown from a small kindergarten through eighth-grade program into a K4-12 school over more than five decades, a change that now requires more physical space for daily operations.
Enrollment figures published by outside directories vary, with the American Association of Christian Schools listing 299 students in PS-12 and other school directories showing about 180 to 184 students. However the enrollment is counted, the planned addition points to a campus that is adjusting to steady demand and to a city that continues to see development pressure along Highway 14.
Victory Christian Academy also lists itself as an approved Educational Service Provider under Alabama’s Choose Act, and its 2026-2027 tuition page puts annual tuition at $3,780 for K4 and K5 half-day, $5,580 for grades 1-8, and $5,680 for grades 9-11 and grade 12. For families in Autauga County and the Millbrook area, the expansion ties together school growth, city approval and the expectation that more students will soon need more room to learn, eat and move through the day.
