3 Arrested After Arundel Mills Mall Shooting, Chase Ends in I-695 Crash
Three men ended Saturday in handcuffs after a fight over a gun at Arundel Mills' Burlington Coat Factory sent them fleeing up I-97 in a Nissan Altima that crashed on I-695.

Brandon Eric Edwards Jr. spent Saturday night in police custody after a brawl at Burlington Coat Factory inside Arundel Mills Mall turned into a multi-county chase that ended with a crumpled Nissan Altima on Interstate 695. Edwards, 21, of Severna Park, was arrested alongside Daevone D'Andre Johnson, 24, and Elijah Amontay Fisher, 20, both of Glen Burnie, following an incident that began around 5 p.m. at the Hanover mall.
Anne Arundel County Police were called to Burlington Coat Factory at Arundel Mills Circle for reports of shots fired. According to police, a man told officers he was leaving the store's vestibule when the three suspects approached and began assaulting him. During the struggle, the victim attempted to draw a handgun. The suspects fought to take the weapon, and during the scuffle the gun discharged, striking one of the suspects in the wrist.
The three men fled the mall in a black Nissan Altima, taking the victim's gun and cellphone with them. Officers tracked the vehicle to Glen Burnie, where a pursuit began as the suspects drove northbound onto I-97 into Baltimore County. The chase continued onto I-695, where the Altima crashed. All three occupants bailed from the car and attempted to flee on foot before being taken into custody after a foot chase, with Baltimore County Police assisting in the apprehension.

One suspect was treated for the non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the wrist; the other two received treatment for injuries from the crash. An Anne Arundel County police officer was injured in a separate crash during the incident and was treated at a local hospital before being released.
Investigators recovered the victim's handgun in the Burlington Coat Factory parking lot and his cellphone near Route 100 and Oakwood Road in Glen Burnie. The three suspects face robbery, assault and related charges. Arundel Mills Mall has since reopened, and the investigation remains ongoing.
