Baltimore City Offers Free Teen Job Readiness Workshop at Greenmount Rec Center

Baltimore City Recreation & Parks held a free, interactive workforce readiness workshop for high-school-age youth on March 20 at Greenmount Recreation Center, offering teens a hands-on introduction to the job market under the deliberately blunt title "Y'all Hiring? The Teen's Guide to Navigating Employment."

The 90-minute session, which ran from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., was designed to help teens build confidence, learn their rights as workers, and practice real-world job skills including résumé writing and interview preparation. Organizers framed the event around a straightforward premise: finding a job is a full-time job.

Baltimore City Rec & Parks described the workshop as interactive, with the stated goal of leaving participants ready for the challenges and expectations of the job market.
