Baltimore Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Blaze on Linden Avenue, No Injuries Reported
Three-story Linden Avenue rowhomes burned in a two-alarm Sunday blaze; no injuries, but it was unclear Sunday evening how many families had been displaced.

Three-story rowhomes on the 2400 block of Linden Avenue burned Sunday afternoon as Baltimore City firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze and extinguished all visible flames by 3:25 p.m. Fire officials reported no injuries.
Crews remained on the block searching for hot spots as of the last official update. The cause was unknown Sunday evening.
BCFD had not confirmed how many units were affected or whether residents had been displaced. Tenants left without housing after a residential fire can reach Baltimore City's Office of Crisis Services around the clock at 410-396-3023. The office, which operates 24 hours a day, connects displaced residents with emergency shelter referrals and other housing resources. The American Red Cross of the National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region typically responds to residential fires within hours to provide food, clothing, emergency lodging, and prescription medication replacement for affected families.
For Linden Avenue tenants or small landlords with compliance questions, the BCFD Office of the Fire Marshal accepts inspection requests at (410) 396-5752 or fireinspections@baltimorecity.gov, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The most frequently cited fire code deficiencies in Baltimore's aging multifamily rowhomes are non-operational smoke detectors, overloaded electrical panels, and blocked egress paths in multi-unit conversions. Suspected violations at any address can also be reported through 311.
The fire's cause remains under investigation. BCFD is expected to release additional details as the inquiry progresses.
