Baltimore Police Investigate Two Saturday Shootings, One Victim Dead
An unidentified man was shot in the head and killed near North Port Street early Saturday; a second man survived a leg wound on Hamilton Avenue 90 minutes earlier.

An unidentified man was shot in the head and pronounced dead at a hospital early Saturday morning, one of two separate shootings Baltimore police are investigating from the predawn hours of March 21. No arrests have been reported in either case.
The fatal shooting unfolded around 4:30 a.m. at the 700 block of North Port Street in southeast Baltimore. Officers responded to a reported shooting, arrived on scene to find the victim with a gunshot wound to the head, and transported him to a nearby hospital, where medical staff pronounced him deceased. The victim has not been identified. Homicide Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.
About 90 minutes earlier, around 3:00 a.m., a 36-year-old man arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers responded to the hospital, where officials found him in stable condition. A preliminary investigation indicated he had been shot at the 3600 block of Hamilton Avenue, in the city's northeast. Northeast District detectives are handling that case and urge anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2444.

Police have released no suspect descriptions in either shooting and have not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.
