Baltimore police are asking the public to help identify a man connected to the sexual assault and solicitation of two children near the Hanover Street Bridge, a heavily traveled corridor in South Baltimore that serves drivers, workers, and nearby residents.

The incidents were reported on April 24, 2026, and investigators have released a photo of a person of interest as they try to determine who was involved. The case is drawing urgent attention because it centers on children and happened in a place many Baltimore residents pass through every day rather than in an isolated area.

Detectives can be reached at 410-361-9928. Police also are directing people to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, which takes anonymous tips 24 hours a day at 1-866-7LOCKUP. Anyone facing an immediate emergency should call 911.

Metro Crime Stoppers says its tip system is designed to protect caller identity, and it does not use caller ID or record telephone conversations. That makes the hotline a key reporting path for anyone who recognizes the person in the photo but does not want to give a name directly to police.

The Hanover Street Bridge area sits in a part of Baltimore where traffic, waterfront access, and neighborhood life overlap, which makes the reported encounter especially concerning for families in the city’s south side. Police have not released additional details about the suspect’s name, and the photo now becomes the most important public lead in the case.

Baltimore Police also maintains public crime data and open-data pages, along with Maryland Public Information Act request information, which can help residents and reporters follow up on broader trends or records tied to the area. For now, investigators are focused on one immediate goal: identifying the man in the image before he can hurt someone else.
