Downtown Baltimore to See Weekday Lane Closures Feb. 23–27 for Events, Utilities
Baltimore City DOT published a schedule on Feb. 22 listing five weekday lane and road closures in downtown from Feb. 23–27 tied to events, utility work and tournament traffic control in the CF.

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation published a closure schedule on Feb. 22 that put downtown Baltimore under five weekday lane and road closures running Feb. 23–27, 2026. The document lists the closures as the result of scheduled events, utility and city work, and tournament-related traffic management in the CF.
Closures began Monday, Feb. 23, and remained in effect through Wednesday, Feb. 26, with the schedule set to continue through Friday, Feb. 27. Because the published calendar covers only weekdays, the downtown restrictions are concentrated on the five consecutive business days rather than weekend dates.
City officials tied portions of the schedule to scheduled events in the downtown core, utility and other city maintenance work, and traffic management for a tournament in the CF. The DOT’s timetable groups work and event-related lane controls across the downtown area for the business week of Feb. 23–27 to coordinate city crews and tournament traffic plans.
Motorists and downtown commuters encountered the closures as part of the DOT plan that was released Feb. 22; the schedule specifies weekday lane and road closures rather than longer-term full street shutdowns. Because the published period spans multiple weekday commuting patterns, traffic control and lane restrictions have overlapped morning and evening travel times during the week of Feb. 23–27.
The DOT schedule released Feb. 22 covers the five weekdays ending Friday, Feb. 27, 2026. Drivers and transit users should expect the downtown lane and road restrictions to remain in place through that date as laid out in the department’s published timetable, and to be tied to the combination of scheduled events, utility and city work, and tournament-related traffic management in the CF.
