Johns Hopkins Football Schedules 10-Game 2026 Season, Five Home Dates Set
Johns Hopkins football opens its 10-game 2026 season September 5 against Ithaca, with five home dates at historic Homewood Field.

Johns Hopkins head coach Dan Wodicka released the Blue Jays' 2026 football schedule last week, mapping out a 10-game regular season that includes five home dates at historic Homewood Field on the university's Charles Village campus.
The season kicks off September 5 against Ithaca, a familiar early-season opponent for Hopkins. The Blue Jays opened the 2025 season at Ithaca on September 6 as well, making the matchup a recurring fixture on the schedule. The announced slate also includes three non-conference opponents to open the season, though the full list of all 10 opponents has not been released in detail.
Wodicka, who was 33 years old when he entered his second year leading the program in 2025, heads one of the youngest coaching staffs in Division III football. Both Blue Jays coordinators are under 30, and the average age across the eight full-time coaches is younger still, a staffing philosophy that reflects a deliberate program-building approach at the Charles Street institution.
The 2026 schedule release comes as Johns Hopkins has been expanding its non-conference footprint. In January, the program inked a two-year scheduling agreement with Trinity University of Texas, sending the Blue Jays to San Antonio in 2027 before the Tigers make the return trip to Homewood Field in 2028.
The program has also been building off recent recognition. Former Blue Jays coach Margraff was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in January, with an induction ceremony set for December 8 in Las Vegas. On the field, players Bourdo, Nwosu, and Konkol earned All-America honors from D3football.com earlier this year, the fourth consecutive season Johns Hopkins placed three or more players on that team. Eight Blue Jays were also named to the CSC Academic All-District squad, the seventh straight year the program placed that many players on the list.
Hopkins' most recent postseason run ended in an NCAA semifinal against UW-River Falls, a 48-41 loss that followed an earlier 45-37 semifinal defeat at Mount Union, results that underscore the program's consistent presence in the playoff picture as it builds toward the 2026 campaign.
