The Orioles used 410 Day to sell more than a game Friday night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards: They offered $19 tickets, $10 student passes and free MTA rides in an effort to make the ballpark feel like a citywide gathering place, not just a place to watch baseball.

The April 10 matchup against the San Francisco Giants started the club’s first Party at The Yard Friday of the 2026 season. Gates opened at 5:30 p.m., first pitch was set for 7:15 p.m., and the pregame slate included $5 Coors Light specials from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Legends Park and on the Coors Light Roof Deck, along with DJ Quicksilva from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The Orioles also planned 410-themed photo opportunities around the ballpark and a postgame fireworks show presented by SeatGeek.

Access was the centerpiece of the promotion. The team said fans could ride free on MTA buses, Metro Subway and Light Rail from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on April 10, with fares extended if weather delayed the game past midnight. The Orioles also said students could buy a $10 ticket through the Friday Birdland Student Pass presented by Toyota, and WMAR reported the club was offering a $10 student pass for Friday games plus free transportation from campuses for students who showed a college ID.

The club framed the night as part of a larger Baltimore identity campaign. The Orioles said 410 Day was presented with the Maryland Transportation Administration, the City of Baltimore, Create Baltimore and DTLR, and that one or more of Baltimore’s 279 neighborhoods would be spotlighted every Friday throughout the 2026 season. Jennifer Grondahl, the team’s communications executive, said Baltimore’s neighborhoods and the people in them were central to the effort, and called Camden Yards “the jewel of the city.”

Party at The Yard Fridays are designed to repeat that formula. Each Friday includes a pregame happy hour from gate opening until one hour after, with live music, photo ops, entertainment and a weekly Guest Splasher appearance. The Orioles’ 2026 promotional calendar also includes a May 8 Tupac bobblehead giveaway, another sign the club is mixing baseball, pop culture and neighborhood branding into a steady Friday-night package.

Whether that becomes a real neighborhood-facing tradition or simply a better dressed marketing push will depend on how many Baltimore families, students and first-time visitors actually keep showing up. For now, the Orioles are betting that cheaper tickets, transit access and a little fireworks can make Camden Yards part of the city’s weekly rhythm.
