Six juveniles arrested in Northeast Baltimore after Belair Road store robberies
Five juveniles and an 18-year-old were arrested after police say large quantities of toiletries and snacks were taken from convenience stores on Belair Road near Kenwood Avenue.

Shoppers on Belair Road near Kenwood Avenue were shaken after Baltimore police arrested six people following a string of thefts and alleged assaults at convenience stores, officials said. The group is accused of taking large quantities of toiletries and various snacks from multiple businesses in the 6600 block of Belair Road.
Police were called in the early afternoon Monday after reports of several juveniles stealing merchandise; WBFF reported officers responded at about 1:30 p.m., while WBAL said calls came in around 1:39 p.m. Both outlets identified the locations as convenience stores along Belair Road, with WBFF naming a CVS and a Dollar General among the targeted businesses and WBAL saying three businesses in the 6600 block were hit.
Baltimore Police Department releases on Thursday said officers located and arrested six suspects: a 13-year-old male, two 15-year-old males, a 16-year-old male, a 15-year-old female and an 18-year-old man. WBAL reported the five juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and faced unspecified charges, while the 18-year-old was taken to Central Booking and charged with theft.
Witness accounts described tense moments inside one store. Jose Correal, relaying what his girlfriend, who works at the Dollar General and declined an on-camera interview, told him, said, “One of (the suspects), it was an 18-year-old, went behind the register. He was acting crazy. He was telling the manager he was going to pistol whip him. Something like that. It was crazy.” WBAL separately reported that one of the assailants allegedly threw a box of candy that struck an employee in the face; the employee’s name and injury details were not released.

WBFF noted that police said they quickly located the juvenile offenders after the calls. Authorities have not released a full list of formal charges for the juveniles, and WBAL’s coverage indicates the investigation remains ongoing. The accounts from store employees and shoppers, including a Dollar General customer identified as Miss. Angel who said she worried about the consequences of the teens’ behavior, remain part of the active probe.
As of Thursday, investigators continued processing the case and reviewing the incidents in the 6600 block of Belair Road. Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional details, including any further charges or evidence recovery, will be released as they become available.
