Three Separate Shootings Over Two Days Raise Community Concerns

Baltimore police investigated three separate shootings that occurred on January 2 and January 3 in the Eastern, Northwest, and Southeast districts, authorities said. The incidents left one man dead and two others hospitalized, and investigators are seeking witnesses and tips.
The first incident took place on January 2 at approximately 5:02 p.m. Officers responded to the 1800 block of N. Chapel Street after a reported shooting and found evidence of a crime scene. A short time later a 49-year-old man walked into an area hospital seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Eastern District Detectives are handling the investigation and ask anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2433.
On January 3 at about 3:11 p.m., Northwest District officers responded to the 6600 block of Reisterstown Road following a reported shooting. Officers located a 46-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds; he was transported to an area hospital and listed in stable condition. Preliminary investigation indicated the victim was shot following an altercation. Northwest District Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-396-2466.
Later that day, on January 3 at approximately 5:33 p.m., Southeast District officers responded to the 700 block of N. Patterson Park Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers located a 55-year-old male with a gunshot wound; despite medical efforts he was pronounced deceased. Homicide Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-396-2100.

The locations span several distinct neighborhoods and may affect commute patterns and local activity while detectives process scenes and follow leads.
