Three Shooting Incidents Investigated Across Baltimore Neighborhoods This Week
Baltimore police are investigating three separate shooting incidents that left one man dead and two others injured between January 2 and January 3. The cases span the Eastern, Northwest, and Southeast districts and officials are urging residents with information to contact detectives or submit anonymous tips.

Baltimore investigators are working three active shooting cases after incidents reported on January 2 and January 3 across multiple neighborhoods. Eastern District, Northwest District, and the Homicide unit have each opened investigations following separate scenes that produced one fatality and two injured men.
The first incident occurred at approximately 5:02 p.m. on January 2 in the 1800 block of N. Chapel Street. Officers arriving on scene established evidence of a crime, and a short time later a 49-year-old male presented at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Eastern District detectives are handling the investigation and ask anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2433.
On January 3 at about 3:11 p.m., Northwest District officers responded to a reported shooting in the 6600 block of Reisterstown Road. Responding officers located a 46-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Detectives in the Northwest District are investigating and can be reached at 410-396-2466.
Later that evening, at approximately 5:33 p.m., officers from the Southeast District responded to a reported shooting in the 700 block of N. Patterson Park Avenue. A 55-year-old male was found suffering from a gunshot wound and, despite medical efforts, was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives are investigating that incident; tips should be directed to 410-396-2100.
