Two Shot Thursday Night in East Baltimore, Police Investigating
A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after he and a 35-year-old woman were shot Thursday night near E. Hoffman Street in East Baltimore.

A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life and a 35-year-old woman was treated for a graze wound after both were shot Thursday night in the 2000 block of East Hoffman Street, according to Baltimore Police.
Officers arrived at the scene around 8:27 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert registered gunfire in the area. When they got there, both victims had already left the location and gone to a nearby hospital on their own. Detectives located the pair there and confirmed they had been shot.
The man sustained several gunshot wounds and is reported to be in critical condition. The woman's graze wound was less severe, though police have not released further details on her condition. Neither victim has been publicly identified.
The 2000 block of East Hoffman Street sits in a stretch of East Baltimore that has drawn repeated police attention for gun violence. No suspect has been identified and no arrests have been made. The Eastern District's shooting detectives are leading the investigation.
