Bamberg County Library Updates Hours, Programs, and Spring Calendar

The ABBE Regional Library system has updated its Bamberg County Public Library pages with current hours, contact information, and a lineup of programming running through March and into spring 2026.

The updates appear on the ABBE Regional Library System's shared calendar platform, which lists branch calendars for more than a dozen locations across the region, including Bamberg County, Barnwell County, Denmark, Blackville, and Aiken County, among others.

Among the system's highlighted spring programs, Read, Rattle, & Roll stands out for families with young children. The in-person storytime offers spring-themed stories and activities for children up to five years old, and is paired with free developmental screenings sponsored by Help Me Grow S.C. A morning session runs 10:30 a.m. to noon on Fridays at the Aiken branch's Bank of America Room.

Baby Storytime, another in-person offering, was scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, bringing songs and stories for infants to the library. Registration is open by calling (803) 642-2020 ext. 2 or stopping by the circulation desk.

The Crochet and Knitting Group meets Thursdays, including March 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The group bills itself explicitly as a social gathering rather than a class: all skill levels are welcome to work on their own projects, connect with other yarn crafters, and find peer support and inspiration.

Adult learners have a dedicated option with Beginning French for Adults, which meets Fridays from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the Aiken branch's Davis Family Room.

The weekend brings a family double feature on Saturday, March 14, with back-to-back screenings of The Bad Guy (PG), running from 1 to 2:40 p.m., and The Bad Guy 2 (PG), from 3 to 4:44 p.m. Both films are animated features based on Aaron Blabey's book series, following five outlaw friends: Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark, and Ms. Tarantula. The event is open to all ages.
