Bamberg County Native Carlos Sabb, Known as Snooky, Dies at 53
Carlos LaQuan Sabb, known as Snooky, a Bamberg County native who lived in Blackville, died March 8 at 53.
Carlos LaQuan Sabb, known throughout his life as Snooky, was born November 11, 1972 in Bamberg, South Carolina and made his home in Blackville. He died March 8, 2026, at the age of 53.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Dash's Funeral Home in Blackville. Visitation was held Thursday, March 19, from noon to 6:00 p.m. at Dash's Funeral Home at 19620 Solomon Blatt Ave in Blackville. A funeral service followed Friday, March 20, from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Honey Ford Baptist Church at 982 Honey Ford Rd in Denmark, South Carolina.
Sabb is survived by his parents, Henry "Butch" Sabb and Ora Lee Whetstone Sabb; his son Carlos "CJ" Sabb of Bamberg; his daughter Kapreon Ricks of Tallassee, Alabama; and his former wife Brenda Sabb. His brothers include Anthony Sabb, Kederick Sabb, Anthawn Scott, Jermalle Brooker, Steven Brooker and Derrick Hanberry. He is also survived by his sister Libby; grandchildren Ivory, Immanuel Jr., Kissimanee and Uriela; close friends Starlette Harrison and Bodo; and his faithful pet.
