Bemidji State opened 2026-27 hockey season-ticket sales at Sanford Center, setting the starting price at $225 for the program’s 17th season in the building. The package gives buyers admission to 18 regular-season games, all Bemidji State women’s hockey games and priority access to playoff tickets.

The July 13 launch matters in Bemidji because hockey is not just a game-night product, it is part of the local event economy. The Sanford Center opened in October 2010 and has housed Bemidji State’s men’s and women’s teams since then, giving the university a 4,373-seat hockey venue with a club level and 26 luxury suites. The City of Bemidji describes the 185,000-square-foot facility as a regional hub for social, cultural and recreational events with an estimated $13 million annual economic impact on north-central Minnesota.

For Beltrami County families and downtown businesses, the season-ticket sale is an early signal that another full hockey calendar is taking shape. Bemidji State’s 2026-27 package asks supporters to commit now, well before the first home puck drop, and to lock in their seats for a slate that will again center the Beavers’ men’s and women’s teams at Sanford Center. The school had already unveiled its 2026-27 nonconference and WCHA schedule in early June, giving fans a broader view of the season before tickets went on sale.

The timing also reflects how deeply hockey is tied to Bemidji’s identity. Bemidji State men’s hockey dates to 1946, and the move from John S. Glas Field House to Sanford Center in 2010 marked a major shift in how the program presents itself and how fans experience it. The current sale extends that link between the university, the arena and the city’s winter sports calendar.
