Hawai‘i Island police are continuing to look for 41-year-old Jason Anthony Magdaleno, who is considered armed and dangerous and wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants tied to probation, with bail totaling $10,000.

Officers searched a Plumeria Street property in the Fern Acres subdivision of Mountain View on Friday morning, May 1, after believing Magdaleno might be there. The operation involved Area I Criminal Investigation Division detectives, Vice Division members and Special Response Team personnel, but he was not found.

Police closed a section of Plumeria Street between Orchid Street and Gardenia Street during the search as a precaution. That stretch reopened at 7 p.m. Friday.

Authorities said anyone who knowingly helps Magdaleno avoid arrest could face first-degree hindering prosecution, a Class C felony. Police also urged the public to pass along information rather than try to intervene directly if they see him.

Anyone with tips can call the Hawaii Police Department non-emergency line at 808-935-3311. Detective Bryson Pilor with the Area I Crime Reduction Unit can be reached at 808-961-8222, and Crime Stoppers can be contacted at 808-961-8300.
