Fox Rothschild to open Fort Lauderdale office, hire locally in Broward County

Fox Rothschild plans to open a Fort Lauderdale office in August 2026, bringing 15 to 20 attorneys and staff into Broward County and starting a local hiring push that is already underway.

The new office will be at Broward Financial Centre, 500 East Broward Boulevard, in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Fox Rothschild said the move will make the city its fourth office in Florida, extending a footprint that already reaches three other locations across the state.

A litigation associate job posting tied to the new office shows the recruiting has begun. The opening is for Fox Rothschild’s new Fort Lauderdale office and points to disputes work as one of the first practice areas on the ground. Scott D. Knapp is leading the office.

Fox Rothschild’s Florida buildout comes with a larger balance-sheet backdrop. The firm said it was tied for 85th in the 2026 Am Law 100 and that gross revenue increased nearly 10% year over year, giving it the scale to expand in South Florida while adding lawyers and support staff in Broward.

The Fort Lauderdale move also follows a separate South Florida lease signed in May 2026. Related Ross said Fox Rothschild took more than 17,000 square feet at 15 CityPlace in West Palm Beach, signaling that the firm is not just opening one office but building a regional presence across the Broward and Palm Beach County market.

For Broward, the immediate impact is local hiring tied to a downtown office address and a national firm with a growing Florida platform. The office’s size, 15 to 20 people at the start, suggests a lean opening that could still deepen demand for litigation, business and advisory work as Fox Rothschild plants itself in one of South Florida’s busiest legal corridors.
