Reward offered for fifth suspect in deadly North Lauderdale shooting

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are offering a reward for information that could lead to the arrest of a fifth suspect in the North Lauderdale shooting that killed one person and injured another. The case centers on an overnight burst of gunfire in the 7900 block of Southwest 7th Court, and investigators want the public’s help to finish identifying everyone involved.

Deputies responded to the scene after reports of shots fired in the neighborhood. Neighbors heard a barrage of gunfire, and the shooting left one person dead and another injured, turning a residential stretch of Southwest 7th Court into the focus of a homicide investigation in Broward County.

Four people had already been arrested in the case by May 12, including Aamir Adams, 19; Anthony Adams, 19; and two minors ages 15 and 16. Those arrests linked several suspects to the fatal double shooting, but detectives later said more information was still needed to account for a fifth person wanted in the case.

By July 29, investigators were offering a reward tied to information that would lead to that arrest. The later identification of the fifth suspect came nearly three months after a 19-year-old was killed, underscoring that the investigation had not been fully closed even after the early arrests.
