Train destroys car on Hollywood Boulevard; family escapes unharmed

A northbound freight train tore through a car on Hollywood Boulevard near Interstate 95 just after 11 p.m. Friday, destroying the vehicle but leaving the family inside without serious injuries. Emergency crews responded to the crossing in Hollywood, and officials said the occupants were shaken but otherwise unharmed.
