Six named lead roles, a full ensemble and separate youth parts for children as young as second grade: Buena Vista Community Theatre is casting Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical this month and needs performers of every age range to fill them. Auditions take place at The Roxy in Alta April 12-14, with performances set for June 19-21, 2026.

Adult and teen auditioners can try out for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf and the King and Queen, along with ensemble parts including Townspeople, Snow Chorus and Hidden Folk. Youth roles, open to children in second grade through age 12, include Young Anna, Young Elsa and children's ensemble characters.

Anyone auditioning should come prepared to read from the script and sing, and should bring a copy of their schedule through June 21 to help the production team plan rehearsals.

Three audition sessions across two age tracks give families and working adults multiple windows to participate. On Sunday, April 12, youth auditions begin at 4 p.m., followed by the adult and teen session at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 13 reverses the order: adults and teens at 5:30 p.m., then youth at 7 p.m. A final slot for adults and teens runs Tuesday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. Performers who cannot make any of those times can request an alternate by emailing BVCTshows@gmail.com.

The Roxy in Alta serves as BVCT's primary stage and draws audiences from throughout Buena Vista County and surrounding communities. Bringing a Broadway-licensed production of Frozen's scale to that stage requires sets, costumes, musical direction and a substantial volunteer corps, making the open call as much an invitation to backstage crew and community supporters as to on-stage performers.

Those cast will rehearse through the summer leading into the June 19-21 run, a timeline worth accounting for when bringing a schedule to The Roxy this month.
