MANNA FoodBank launches redesigned accessible website to improve WNC access
MANNA FoodBank launched a redesigned, accessibility-focused website to help neighbors across Western North Carolina find food, volunteer, and donate more easily.

MANNA FoodBank launched a redesigned, accessibility-focused website to create a more user-friendly digital front door for neighbors across Western North Carolina seeking food, resources, and ways to help. The relaunch prioritizes a streamlined Food Finder tool and clearer pathways for volunteers and donors, aiming to speed access to pantry and meal-site information across the region.
The new site was developed in partnership with web and accessibility experts and emphasizes a modern design, improved navigation, and search-engine-optimized language so community members can find accurate, up-to-date information more quickly. The redesign incorporates accessibility best practices, clear language, intuitive menus, and mobile-friendly functionality to improve the experience for users of all abilities and devices. The Food Finder is a central feature, connecting people to nearby pantries, meal sites, and community resources.
Claire Neal, CEO of MANNA FoodBank, said: "For many families and individuals, the search for food and free community resources starts online. MANNA’s new website makes it easier for neighbors to find food quickly, while also giving volunteers and supporters clearer pathways to get involved."
Visitors to the site can find food through the prioritized Food Finder tool, explore volunteer opportunities, learn more about MANNA’s work across the region, and make secure online donations to support hunger-relief efforts throughout Western North Carolina. The organization framed the site as both a digital front door and an extension of its commitment to strengthening access to food, noting the relaunch brings that commitment to life by making it easier for community members to take action.

Local reporting notes that the launch followed a Jan. 29 press release announcing the redesign. An Instagram post highlighted the launch with the line: "Big announcement: MANNA's newly redesigned website is now live! Created in partnership with web and accessibility experts, the new site" Avery Journal Times included a screenshot of the newly updated homepage in its coverage, offering a visual preview of the new layout.
