Accel Therapies opens Plano autism center and headquarters on west side
A new west Plano ABA center opened near Coit Road and the Sam Rayburn Tollway, giving families a closer therapy option with insurance support and weekday hours.

Plano families looking for autism therapy now have a closer option on the city’s west side, where Accel Therapies opened a 13,200-square-foot center at 3915 McDermott Road on May 11. The site sits near Coit Road and the Sam Rayburn Tollway, a location that can shave time off the weekly trips many parents make for pediatric behavioral health appointments.
The new Plano center offers one-on-one sessions, behavioral intervention and caregiver coaching, with services that can happen in the center, at home or through school consultations. That mix matters for families trying to keep treatment consistent while balancing school drop-offs, work schedules and other appointments. Accel Therapies also structures its work around everyday life skills, using real-world scenarios such as shopping or crossing the street to help children build communication, social interaction and independence.

For parents comparing options, insurance coverage is one of the first questions. Accel Therapies says it works with most major insurance providers and lists Texas coverage partners that include Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Blue Shield/Magellan, Aetna, Evernorth and United/Optum. The Plano center’s listed hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Saturday and Sunday closed, giving families a weekday window for ongoing therapy.
Accel Therapies says it has provided ABA services since 2005, when it began as a speech therapy clinic in Newport Beach, California, before expanding into applied behavior analysis for children with autism and developmental delays. The company describes its model as family-centered and evidence-based, with a focus on caregiver training and planning that carries over beyond the clinic walls. It also says its broader services include center-based, home-based and school-based care.

The Plano opening adds another specialized healthcare option to a corridor that already serves a growing North Texas population. Accel Therapies also lists a corporate office in Frisco, underscoring the company’s expanding footprint in Collin County and across Texas. For Plano parents trying to find the next available ABA appointment without crossing half the metroplex, the new McDermott Road center brings therapy closer to home.
