Bomb Threat Disrupts SAT Testing at Lake Highlands High School in Richardson
Students mid-SAT at Lake Highlands High School were told to log out of their computers and evacuate Saturday after Dallas police notified Richardson ISD of a bomb threat.

A bomb threat forced the evacuation of Lake Highlands High School in Richardson on Saturday morning, interrupting SAT testing and prompting a room-by-room sweep of the campus by Dallas Police Department officers, according to a notice Richardson Independent School District sent to parents and staff.
Students in the middle of their exams were told to log out of their computers before leaving the building. The Dallas Police Department received the threat and notified the district, which released all students from campus, the district said, "out of an abundance of caution and to allow law enforcement to conduct a thorough sweep of every room."
After completing that sweep, Dallas police determined the threat was not credible. The department said no offense occurred during the incident, and no injuries were reported.
"Please know that we take any potential threat very seriously, and the safety of our students remains our highest priority," the district's notice read.

For students whose Saturday morning test was cut short, next steps will come from the College Board, which the district said will contact impacted students directly regarding rescheduled testing. All other campus activities at Lake Highlands were expected to continue as scheduled, Richardson ISD said.
The incident remains under investigation.
