Collin College Health and Safety Fair Returns Free to McKinney in March
Collin College's 19th annual Health & Safety Fair brings free glucose, blood pressure, and hearing screenings to McKinney on March 27.

Collin College's 19th annual Health & Safety Fair will open the doors of its McKinney Campus Conference Center to the public on Friday, March 27, running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2400 Community Ave. Admission is free for students, employees and community members alike.
The fair offers an unusually broad menu of no-cost screenings in a single location: glucose levels, blood pressure, hearing, spinal health, cardiovascular health and body fat checks will all be available on site. A blood donation station will also be set up for anyone interested in giving. Representatives from local healthcare providers, wellness facilities and Collin College health sciences programs will be on hand to answer questions and provide services throughout the five-hour event.
Safety demonstrations give the fair a hands-on dimension that distinguishes it from a standard health expo. Attendees can practice proper fire extinguisher use, learn infant car seat installation techniques, and try on "drunk goggles" to experience firsthand how alcohol impairs coordination and vision. Local emergency services will bring real equipment to the conference center grounds: a fire truck, an ambulance and water rescue gear will all be on display for public viewing.
The event also serves as a showcase for Collin College's health sciences and emergency medical services programs, giving prospective students and community members a close look at training pathways the college offers. Collin College serves approximately 60,000 credit and continuing education students annually across its campuses and provides more than 200 degrees and certificates.

The 2026 edition marks the 19th consecutive year Collin College has held the fair at the McKinney campus, continuing a tradition that drew attendees to the same Conference Center location as recently as March 28, 2025 for the 18th annual event.
