Nearly 100 employers will set up hiring booths at Collin College's Frisco Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco, on April 16 for a free four-hour career fair spanning finance, engineering, health care, public safety, construction, retail and hospitality.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to any Collin County resident, not just enrolled students. Hiring managers and recruiters will be on hand to fill full-time, part-time and seasonal positions, with on-site interviews available at multiple booths throughout the day.

Collin College's career-services staff will offer résumé printing, career coaching and interview-prep guidance on site. Job seekers are advised to bring printed résumés, dress professionally and arrive early. The college plans to publish a full list of attending employers and open positions in the days before April 16; organizers recommend researching those employers beforehand so limited face-to-face time with recruiters is used well.

A Collin College spokesperson said the fair "creates a bridge between education and employment" and reflects the college's workforce-development mission. That mission carries particular weight in a county where skilled-trades and health care vacancies have remained difficult to fill even as the local population continues to grow rapidly.

For smaller and mid-size businesses in the region, the concentrated recruiting format cuts travel and sourcing costs. Local employers attending similar events have said the candidate pool they meet often includes people ready to start quickly, a meaningful advantage in a competitive hiring environment.

Job seekers can register through Collin College's career-services portal ahead of the event. Employers still seeking booth assignments were asked to RSVP with the college directly.
