Layne Van Buskirk walked into her first professional All-Star selection ranked second in Major League Volleyball in total blocks, and she brought three Dallas Pulse teammates with her.

Major League Volleyball named outside hitters Mimi Colyer and Sofia Maldonado Diaz, setter Natalia Valentin-Anderson, and Van Buskirk, a middle blocker, to the 2026 AdventHealth MLV All-Star Match scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando. The match tips off at 11 a.m. CT and airs on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+. Kaitlyn Hord was also named as an alternate.

The selections arrive in the Frisco-based franchise's inaugural season, a notable benchmark for a team that has spent its first year playing out of Comerica Center. Selections were determined through a combination of fan voting, player input, and league selection.

Van Buskirk has been the statistical engine behind Dallas's front line. The Team Canada member ranks second in MLV in total blocks with 40 and second in kill percentage at 50.6 percent, while posting a .356 hitting efficiency that ranks fourth in the league. She helped power a Pulse front line that is tied for first in total blocks and ranks second in blocks per set at 2.63. She put up a season-high 13 kills on a .611 hitting percentage against Columbus on March 13, then followed with 10 kills on a .571 clip against Atlanta two days later, adding four total blocks across those two matches.

Colyer arrives at the All-Star Match carrying her own distinction: the Wisconsin outside hitter was the first overall pick in the 2025 MLV Draft when Dallas selected her, marking the second straight year a Big Ten player went No. 1.

The All-Star rosters carry 12 players each. Indy Ignite led all teams with five selections, while Dallas and Orlando each contributed four. The two squads will be coached by Dan Meske of Louisville and Beth Launiere, the longtime head coach at the University of Utah.

Tickets for the March 28 match are available through the league's Ticket Central page at ProVolleyball.com.
