Frisco ISD Board Unanimously Approves Dr. Todd Fouche as Next Superintendent
Frisco ISD's board unanimously approved Dr. Todd Fouche as superintendent after a 21-day state wait, elevating a decade-long district veteran from deputy superintendent.

Frisco ISD's board of trustees on April 6 unanimously voted to formally approve Dr. Todd Fouche as the district's next superintendent, completing the 21-day waiting period required by Texas state law after trustees designated him the lone finalist in mid-March.
The approval is an internal promotion more than a decade in the making. Fouche joined Frisco ISD as a classroom teacher and advanced through roles as assistant principal, principal, director of finance and deputy superintendent before the board elevated him to the top position. He holds an educational doctorate from the University of North Texas.
Board President Dynette Davis said Fouche demonstrated a clear understanding of Frisco ISD's values and strategic direction. Trustees cited his deep institutional knowledge, operational experience and continuity-focused leadership as the qualities that made him the straightforward choice. The unanimous vote reflected confidence in an administrator who has managed everything from campus operations to district-wide finances over his tenure.
In messages to staff and families, Fouche framed his priorities around continuity and student-centered leadership, saying the district would maintain its focus on instruction, safety and planning for growth.

That growth presents an immediate and concrete challenge. Frisco ISD ranks among the fastest-growing school districts in Texas, and Fouche's agenda is already shaped by enrollment pressure, campus construction timelines and long-range facility strategy. Bond planning, site selection for new campuses and staffing decisions for the 2026-27 school year are among his first priorities.
His years overseeing district finances as deputy superintendent position him to manage capital projects alongside academic demands. Parents, staff and neighborhood groups across Frisco will be watching closely for decisions on school site selection and any policy direction tied to curriculum, safety and student support services.
The board finalized Fouche's contract at a regular April meeting, closing a search process that never extended beyond the district's own leadership ranks.
