A victim's disclosure to a counselor in 2023, made 17 years after the abuse had ended, set in motion the investigation that put Christopher John Greene behind bars for the next half century.

Judge Angela Tucker sentenced Greene, 53, of Frisco, to 50 years in prison for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, 20 years for Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact, and 5 years for Possession of Child Pornography. Greene had pleaded guilty last month and asked the judge to determine his punishment. By law, the three sentences will run concurrently.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced the sentence on March 24. "This sentence means a predator can no longer prey on the innocent, because for too long, the innocent have paid the price for his crimes," Willis said.

Greene began abusing the victim in the early 2000s, when the child was 10 years old. The abuse continued for five years, until the victim turned 15. Greene had ongoing access to the child through a relationship with the child's family. The victim, now in their 30s, did not disclose the crimes until 2023, when they told a counselor, prompting Frisco Police to open an investigation.

As that investigation unfolded, three other men came forward alleging Greene had abused them as children as well, with some of those incidents dating back to the 1980s. Frisco police detectives also believe Greene may have been involved in additional crimes starting in the 1990s.

Frisco Police Detective Nessa McFarland led the investigation. After Greene's arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at his home and seized a hard drive. Detective Walker Martin conducted a forensic examination of the drive and recovered multiple images of child pornography.
