Frisco Students Win $10,000 Seed Capital, Head to National Entrepreneurship Competition
Glowga and Bioming Lab won $10,000 in seed capital at Frisco's YEA! Investor Panel, pushing the 16-year program's total funding to $150,000.

Two student ventures from Frisco's Young Entrepreneurs Academy walked away from the program's annual Investor Panel with $10,000 in seed capital and a ticket to nationals, capping a seven-month journey from classroom concept to registered company.
Glowga and Bioming Lab were selected to represent YEA! Frisco at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy National Competition, scheduled for June 10-12, 2026, in Frisco. Delphia was named the alternate. The seed capital awarded at the March 12 event at George Purefoy Municipal Center brings the total invested through the Frisco Chamber Foundation program to $150,000 across its 16-year history.
The 16 student-run businesses that competed this year were chosen through a competitive application process. Their ventures spanned technology and gardening products, among other industries. Varsha Radhakrishnan, a student at Frisco Memorial High School, leads SproutUp, which produces biodegradable, ready-to-grow herb pods aimed at beginner gardeners. Texas Power Search, which helps Texas homeowners compare electricity plans, is co-led by Brooks Cuevas of Frisco Pioneer Heritage Middle School and Kriti Korrapati of Lewisville Shadow Ridge Middle School.
Judging the pitches were Jay Bass, vice president of investments at RISE Family Office; Christal Howard, president and CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce; Sangame Krishnamani, director of software engineering at Capital One; Ramesh Nuti, founder and angel investor at Action EDI; Gopal Ponangi, founder and president of the Shubham Foundation; and Caleb Rush, a partner in the financial services and corporate transactions practices at Spencer Fane. Two YEA! Frisco alumni also took part: structural engineer Krish Sivarajah joined the judging panel, and Trent Greene, who works in export management operations, served as emcee.
The program, run by the Frisco Chamber Foundation, the 501(c)(3) arm of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, guides middle and high school students from initial idea through market research, company registration, and investor presentations. YEA! Frisco has placed first or second at the national competition for five consecutive years, a streak Glowga and Bioming Lab will have the chance to extend when the national field convenes in Frisco this June.
