Koelker Dental opens in Allen with full-service care options

Koelker Dental opened July 2 at 960 W. Exchange Parkway, Ste. 100, adding a broad dental option in west Allen just as more families are looking for care closer to home. Led by Dr. Kris Koelker, the practice says it can handle preventive care, restorative dentistry, surgical procedures and other services, which gives nearby residents a place for both routine visits and more involved treatment without leaving the city.

The office is presenting itself as a family owned and operated private dental practice built for the Allen community. That local connection runs through Koelker’s own background, too: he grew up in Allen and graduated from Allen High School in 2003. The practice also has made dental anxiety part of its opening pitch, saying it helps patients with IV conscious sedation and is promoting a state-of-the-art equipment setup.

The project behind the office was a privately funded interior finish-out, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. State records list a Jan. 12, 2026 start date, a May 4, 2026 completion date and an estimated cost of $415,245 for the work at 960 W. Exchange Pkwy. in Allen.

The opening lands in a city and county still absorbing rapid growth. Allen’s population reached 113,300 in 2025, while Collin County’s reached 1,251,273, according to Allen Economic Development Corp. data. North Central Texas Council of Governments estimates show Collin County added almost 76,000 residents in the latest annual cycle, a pace that helps explain why neighborhood medical and dental offices continue to fill quickly in suburban corridors.

For Allen residents, the practical value is simple: one more full-service dental office inside city limits, with a local doctor, a central exchange parkway address and a menu that goes beyond cleanings. In a county where many families already cross city lines for everyday appointments, Koelker Dental gives west Allen another reason to stay close to home for care.
