Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas opens new McKinney, Prosper offices

Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas announced the opening of two new oral and maxillofacial surgery offices, with the McKinney location listed at 2164 N. Lake Forest Drive, Ste. 712, McKinney, Texas 75071, phone (214) 945-2770, and the Prosper location at 540 W. Frontier Parkway, Suite 100, Prosper, Texas 75078, phone (972) 346-0084, and StarLocal Media reports the McKinney and Prosper offices are now open for business where doctors are treating new and existing patients at both facilities. Becker’s Dental Review noted the openings and said the information came according to a March 4 news release shared with Becker’s, though Becker’s did not specify the year of that release.

Becker’s identifies the clinical leaders at the new sites: the McKinney office is led by William Walstad, DDS, while the Prosper office is led by Phillip Newton, DDS, MD, according to the March 4 news release shared with Becker’s. OSANT’s online listings and StarLocal Media show five surgeons on the practice “Meet Our Surgeons” roster: Dr. Douglas J. Dingwerth; Dr. Maxwell D. Finn; Dr. William R. Walstad; Dr. Phillip Newton; and Dr. J. Michael Ray.

OSANT practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with services explicitly listed across its site and prior press materials: implant procedures; wisdom teeth removal; corrective jaw surgery; oral pathology and treatment of cancerous cells; bone grafting; facial pain diagnosis and treatment; facial injuries; and skeletal growth abnormalities. The 2019 Allen press release that described the practice’s scope also laid out these core services now being offered in the expanded North Texas footprint.

The practice’s footprint now appears on OSANT listings to include Plano, Allen, Cedar Hill, Rowlett, McKinney and Prosper, with explicit office addresses and phone numbers for each site. OSANT traces its founding to 1984 and has previously described facility upgrades in Collin County: a 2019 Allen expansion announced July 30, 2019, moved the practice into larger quarters at 2550 N. Watters Road and added six patient treatment rooms, a larger waiting area and updated technology. In that 2019 release William Walstad said, “The new office will enable us to provide our patients with an even better experience. It’s new; is in a convenient, ground-floor location; and has more space, better technology and more comfortable surroundings.”

Patient-facing listings and reviews also appear in regional directories: a Wheree listing updated February 2026 highlights patient praise for friendly, professional staff and states, “Dr. Walstad's expertise and compassionate approach have garnered positive feedback, making it a recommended choice for those seeking quality dental services.” OSANT’s own site includes a COVID-19 message that states, “Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas will continue to remain open with a limited schedule,” and, “The doctors of OSANT will continue to provide service for patients in need of emergent oral surgical care,” and adds, “Our patient's care is our utmost concern and we will continue to monitor CDC and local Public Health sites recommendations closely,” and, “We always follow universal precautions in all areas of our practice, and we are taking additional infection control measures to ensure the safety of our staff and patients as we navigate this national health crisis.”
