Frisco’s Preston Road corridor is getting another recognizable lunch stop as Sourdough & Co. lines up its first North Texas location at 3333 Preston Road. The California-based chain lists the store as coming soon and includes a dedicated Frisco email contact, while Texas licensing records place the project at 3311 Preston Road, Suite 2, with a $200,000 buildout registered April 22, scheduled to start May 4 and set for completion June 22.

The move matters because it lands in a part of Frisco already defined by rapid commercial growth, new residential development and strong consumer demand. Sourdough & Co. says it now operates in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Texas and Wisconsin, and describes itself as a chain with more than 80 locations. A secondary database listed 38 U.S. locations in April, showing how quickly the brand is scaling as it pushes beyond its California base.

The menu gives a clearer picture of the concept Frisco is adding. Sourdough & Co. centers on hot and cold sandwiches, sourdough bread bowls, soups and chili, salads, mac and cheese, breakfast sandwiches, cookies and baked goods. Among the items the company highlights are turkey avocado sandwiches, pastrami melts, French dip sandwiches and loaded sourdough grilled cheese. Its New England clam chowder can be ordered by the cup or served in a sourdough bread bowl, a detail that sets the brand apart from a standard deli.

That mix points to the kind of operators still choosing Frisco now: familiar names with broad appeal, a fast-casual model and enough menu variety to work for lunch, dinner and quick takeout. The Preston Road storefront gives the city another branded restaurant option in a corridor where chain expansion continues to track with household growth and spending power. The store is expected to open in fall 2026, adding another national-style concept to a retail pocket that keeps drawing attention from food brands looking for a foothold in Collin County.
