Southbound US 75 Near Van Alstyne Closes Nightly This Week for Construction
Southbound US 75 closes nightly at County Line Road in Van Alstyne from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 1-3; detour runs from Exit 50 along the frontage road to White Street.

The southbound main lanes of US 75 shut down at County Line Road in Van Alstyne for three consecutive nights starting Wednesday, forcing overnight travelers onto a detour that TxDOT has routed from Exit 50 along the frontage road to White Street.
The closures run April 1 through April 3 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night as construction crews continue work at the CR 375/County Line Road crossing. The highway reopens each morning before the start of the commute, but TxDOT is urging anyone traveling southbound on US 75 during the overnight hours to plan for extra time on the road.
Southbound drivers will be directed off the main lanes at Exit 50 and guided along the frontage road before returning to US 75 at White Street. The County Line Road crossing marks a key junction where Collin and Grayson counties meet, and it carries significant freight and commuter traffic between the Dallas-Fort Worth metro and points north.

TxDOT has maintained an active construction presence along this stretch of US 75 through Van Alstyne for much of the past two years, with work ranging from frontage road paving to full main-lane shutdowns. Earlier in 2026, crews closed both northbound and southbound main lanes, along with frontage roads, across the longer corridor between County Line Road and FM 121.
This week's work is more targeted, limited to three overnight windows on the southbound side. Construction timelines are subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
