Copperas Cove ISD has launched Central Texas Innovation Academy as a new virtual learning option for the 2026-27 school year, giving families in Coryell County another district-run path for students in grades 3 through 12. The academy is set up as a limited-enrollment virtual campus open to students from across Texas, not just Copperas Cove.

The district moved the academy forward after trustees approved a step toward its launch on July 28. That timing matters for local families making fall decisions now, especially those weighing a different pace, schedule, or school setting than a traditional campus offers.
