Copperas Cove Marks 147th Birthday with Free Public Celebration Saturday
Copperas Cove turns 147 on March 28, and the free birthday party at the historic Allin House includes cake, storytelling, and a city proclamation reading.

Copperas Cove will mark 147 years with birthday cake, a city proclamation, and a chorus of "Happy Birthday" when the City of Copperas Cove and the Copperas Cove Historical Society throw a free public celebration at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at the historic Allin House, 401 N. Main St.
The celebration will include a reading of a city proclamation, storytelling, and refreshments featuring birthday cake and cookies. Organizers are encouraging attendees to embrace the spirit of the late 19th century by wearing era-appropriate attire, and the gathering will close with community members singing "Happy Birthday" in honor of the city's founding.

The Allin House, one of the city's most recognizable historic landmarks on North Main Street, serves as the fitting backdrop for a celebration rooted in Copperas Cove's origins. The event is free and open to the public, with no ticket or registration required.
