Hardenbergh Insurance Leases Vineland Office After Acquiring Two Local Agencies
Hardenbergh Insurance Group leased a 5,200-square-foot office at 228 West Landis Avenue after buying two local agencies, increasing in-person access to insurance services in Cumberland County.

Hardenbergh Insurance Group leased a 5,200-square-foot office at 228 West Landis Avenue in Vineland as part of a strategic push to expand its footprint in Cumberland County. The lease, signed January 20, 2026, follows Hardenbergh’s recent acquisitions of J. Walker Pierson Insurance of Cherry Hill and Earle H. Sloan, Inc. of Elmer, and brings the Sloan team into the new Vineland location.
The new office sits on Landis Avenue, Vineland’s primary commercial corridor, where Hardenbergh said it intends to increase visibility and strengthen its local presence. The 5,200-square-foot space is large enough to serve walk-in customers, host account meetings, and accommodate the staff relocating from Earle H. Sloan, Inc. Bringing the Sloan team into the Vineland storefront consolidates local expertise for personal insurance, group medical, and business insurance lines under one roof.

Hardenbergh Insurance Group traces its roots to 1954 and operates as a three-generation, family-owned independent agency. The acquisitions of a Cherry Hill agency and an Elmer agency extend Hardenbergh’s reach across county lines and add capacity for group medical policies and commercial coverage that local employers often seek. For small businesses in Vineland and surrounding towns, a nearby agency offering group medical and business insurance simplifies renewals, claims support, and face-to-face counseling when benefits or risk exposures change.
Industry consolidation among independent agencies is a common strategy to achieve scale, diversify product offerings, and compete with larger brokerages. For Cumberland County residents, Hardenbergh’s expansion could mean more immediate access to agents who know local risks, from farm operations and small manufacturers to rental properties common in the region. The physical office also reinforces Landis Avenue’s role as a hub for banking, real estate, and professional services, which can create modest spillover benefits for neighboring shops and service providers.
The move does not, at this stage, include announced changes to policy pricing or staff headcount beyond the integration of the Sloan team into the Vineland office. Residents and business owners seeking in-person assistance can now go to 228 West Landis Avenue for Hardenbergh’s personal insurance, group medical, and business insurance services. As Hardenbergh increases its visible presence on Landis Avenue, expect greater local access to agent-driven service and a potential rise in competitive options for coverage in Cumberland County.
