Nothing Bundt Cakes opens in Millville, adds new Route 47 bakery
Nothing Bundt Cakes opened in front of Cumberland Crossing on Route 47, a fresh sign that Millville’s retail corridor is still drawing national chains.

Nothing Bundt Cakes has taken a prominent front-row spot at Cumberland Crossing, opening a bakery at 2229 N. 2nd St. in Millville across from Longhorn Steakhouse and near Walmart and Hobby Lobby. The freestanding building previously housed a Visionworks, turning a former eye-care space into another food stop along one of Cumberland County’s busiest retail stretches.
The bakery officially opened March 28 and now sells the chain’s signature bundt cakes in several sizes, including Bundtinis sold by the dozen, individually sized Bundtlets and full-size cakes. The Millville store’s listing says the cakes are baked fresh daily, and the location offers pickup, delivery and fundraising. Hours are listed as 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The opening matters because it adds another recognizable national brand to a corridor that has become one of Millville’s most important shopping draws. Cumberland Crossing sits at the Route 47 and Route 55 retail node, and a 2024 retail brochure for the center said the intersection carries a combined 55,000 average daily traffic count. That kind of traffic has helped make the area attractive to chains looking for visibility, convenient access and steady customer flow.

This is not a one-off addition. The bakery fits into a larger pattern of buildout around Cumberland Crossing, where national retailers have continued to cluster around Walmart and other major tenants. The location is a permanent bakery, not a temporary kiosk or seasonal pop-up, which gives it more weight as a signal of how the corridor is evolving. A mid-May grand opening celebration weekend was also planned, with giveaways and discounts aimed at building a local customer base beyond the first rush of opening-day traffic.
The corridor’s retail story has been building for years. NJ.com reported in 2011 that Cumberland Crossing would gain Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby along with a Walmart expansion, and reported the Hobby Lobby opening there in 2012 as the complex took shape. More recently, March 2026 coverage said Nothing Bundt Cakes was planning at least five New Jersey locations and already had more than a dozen stores statewide before this new wave of openings. Millville’s bakery now adds another clear marker that Route 47 remains a live target for expansion, and that Cumberland Crossing is still functioning as a regional shopping hub rather than just a local strip center.
