Decatur County Schools welcomes Blake Lindsey to Parsons Elementary

Decatur County Schools has added Blake Lindsey as the new School Resource Officer at Parsons Elementary School, giving the Parsons campus a named safety presence inside the building. The district highlighted the hire in a welcome post dated Jan. 8, 2025, written by Dr. Amanda Creasy.

For parents and students at 182 West 4th Street in Parsons, the appointment matters because the School Resource Officer role sits at the intersection of safety, daily school operations, and student support. A familiar officer on campus can help strengthen communication between the school and families, while also giving staff another visible point of contact during the school day. Ma.
