Young Dubliners Bring Celtic Rock to Dolores River Brewery March 20
A Celtic rock band with nine albums and 30 years on the road plays Dolores River Brewery on March 20; tickets are $30.

The Young Dubliners, a Celtic rock band three decades into their career, will play Dolores River Brewery at 100 S 4th St on Friday, March 20, with an 8:00 p.m. start and a set listed to run until midnight. General admission tickets are $30, plus a $0.75 service fee, and can be booked through the event listing online.
The band's promotional materials describe a sound built on traditional Irish folk music pushed through raucous electric rock, with the comparison drawn to Los Lobos: "Their sound defies categorization. The Young Dubliners can be seen as Ireland's answer to Los Lobos, with a similar combination of traditional folk music, raucous electric rock, and forward-thinking experimentation."
The Dolores date lands in the middle of a tight regional run. The band plays the Pace Center in Parker on Thursday, March 19, then Dolores on March 20, then the Ute Theater and Events Center in Rifle on March 21 before heading east to Omaha, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Chicago through the end of the month.
Now in their thirtieth year, the Young Dubliners are also working on their tenth studio album with Irish-born producer Tim Boland while keeping a full tour calendar. The event listing notes the band "returned to the road post-pandemic stronger than ever and determined to bring their fusion of Celtic and rock music to as many people as they can."
Dolores River Brewery has operated at the corner of 4th Street since 2002 and bills itself as "SW Colorado's premium beer garden and music space." The venue is dog-friendly on a leash, is open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 4 p.m., and can be reached at 970-882-HOPS (4677).
