The Steep Canyon Rangers, the Asheville, North Carolina band whose 2013 album *Nobody Knows You* earned them a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album, took the stage at the Parker Arts, Culture & Events (PACE) Center on March 26 at 7:30 p.m., bringing a decades-deep catalog of bluegrass and Americana to 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue.

Formed in North Carolina and shaped equally by the Appalachian Mountains and the Piedmont, the Steep Canyon Rangers have long occupied a singular space in American roots music. From their earliest recordings, the band demonstrated an unusual ability to honor traditional bluegrass forms while allowing contemporary songwriting and regional storytelling to seep naturally into the music, a balance that earned them both bluegrass credibility and broader Americana acclaim, culminating in their Best Bluegrass Album Grammy for *Nobody Knows You*, along with additional nominations and an induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

The band has released 14 albums, earned three Grammy nominations and one Grammy win. The group has also become widely known since 2009 for collaborating with actor and banjoist Steve Martin. The current lineup features Graham Sharp on banjo, Mike Guggino on mandolin and mandola, Aaron Burdett on guitar, Nicky Sanders on fiddle, Barrett Smith on bass and guitar, and Mike Ashworth on drums, Dobro and guitar, with all six members contributing vocals.

The Parker concert was part of an active touring schedule. As of 2025, the Steep Canyon Rangers continue to tour the U.S., and the PACE Center booking placed Parker on a run that has taken the band across the country.

The March 26 show was not the only Grammy-pedigreed act on the PACE Center's spring calendar. Los Lonely Boys, also Grammy winners, are scheduled for April 15, while the Olivier Award-winning Dinosaur World Live arrives April 10-11 with times varying. The urban performance collective 360 ALLSTARS follows at 6:30 p.m. on May 17, and ACM and CMA Award-winners Lonestar close out the summer run on July 30. The Schoolhouse stage, meanwhile, continues its run of *Goodnight Moon* through March 29 before hosting The Dreamboats on May 30.

Tickets for upcoming PACE Center events are available through the Parker Arts website at parkerarts.org.
