Dubois County Bombers Stadium Gets MLB-Level Data Tracking Technology
Dubois County Bombers installed MLB-level data tracking technology and MLB-caliber seats at League Stadium, with the home opener set for June 2 against the Louisville Jockeys.

League Stadium in Huntingburg got a significant overhaul ahead of the 2023 season, with the Dubois County Bombers announcing MLB-level data tracking technology as the headline addition to a broader round of renovations that also brought new seating, a wine bar, a candy bar, and an expanded gift shop to the city-owned ballpark.
Justin Knepp, one of the Bombers' new owners, told 14 News Sunrise that the new lower-level seats were expected to be ready within the week and described them as "Major League Baseball caliber." The upgrade replaced plastic seats that had been installed in 1997 after being relocated from the defunct Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, which had occupied the first few rows of the ballpark for more than two decades.
"If you've never been to League Stadium in Huntingburg, you have got to make plans to go," Knepp said. "When you walk into the stadium, it's like 1940s era baseball, and there's nothing like it. It's just such a family friendly environment. Again the entertainment this season, it's going to be non stop..."
The Bombers did not disclose a vendor name, product model, or technical specifications for the data tracking system, which the team said was intended to enhance both player and fan experience. The technology represents a step into professional-grade analytics infrastructure for a program that fields a roster of college athletes competing on summer break from NCAA competition.

League Stadium, which the City of Huntingburg owns and operates as both a tourist attraction and a community asset, has retained its upper-deck wooden bench seats alongside the new additions. The ballpark also hosts Southridge High School Raiders games and features classic murals and a retro color scheme that have become part of its identity since the Bombers organization rebranded from the Bluff City Bombers after arriving from the Central Illinois Collegiate League in 2005.
The renovated stadium opened to Bombers fans for the June 2 home opener against the Louisville Jockeys.
