Dubois County Rotary Clay Shoot April 17 Raises Money for Grants
Rotary Club of Dubois County will hold its Clay Shoot at OFS Cool Springs April 17; registration is $125 with a deadline of April 10, and free 12-gauge steel ammunition is provided.

The Rotary Club of Dubois County will host its 2026 Clay Shoot fundraiser at OFS Cool Springs in Velpen on Friday, April 17, 2026, with registration set at $125 per participant and a registration deadline of Friday, April 10, 2026. The club extended its appreciation to OFS Cool Springs for generously hosting the event at 9412 E. State Road 64.
Participants will rotate through 12 shooting stations featuring 100 sporting clay targets during two sessions: a morning session beginning at 7:00 a.m. and an afternoon session starting at 12:30 p.m. Free 12-gauge steel ammunition will be provided, and lunch is included with registration. The event format emphasizes both competition and camaraderie, and teams of four are recommended; individuals may register and will be placed on teams if needed.
Rotary organizers ask shooters to bring a 12-gauge semi-automatic or an over-under shotgun, noting that single-shot and pump shotguns are not recommended. The Registration and Sponsorship Packet is listed as NOW AVAILABLE on the Rotary Club of Dubois County site, and the club’s lineup of sponsorship levels includes Station Sponsor for $250, Team Sponsor for $500, and Team & Station Sponsor for $650.
Those seeking to register or learn more about sponsorships can contact the club by phone at 812-309-8133 or by email at rotaryclubduboiscounty@gmail.com. The registration fee of $125 covers the clay shoot session, ammunition supply, and lunch; prospective participants must register by April 10, 2026, to secure a spot in either the 7:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. session.
Proceeds from the Clay Shoot will support the Rotary Club of Dubois County Community Grants program. These grants directly support projects and initiatives that make a lasting difference throughout Dubois County, and the club has opened its 2026 Community Grant application cycle for local nonprofits, schools, and community groups.
Derek Budd, Clay Shoot Chairperson, framed the event’s local purpose and appeal: “The Clay Shoot is more than just a day on the course. It’s an opportunity for friends, coworkers, and local businesses to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and invest back into our community.” Residents and businesses interested in sponsorship or registering for the April 17 event should use the contact phone 812-309-8133 or email rotaryclubduboiscounty@gmail.com to obtain the registration and sponsorship packet and confirm available slots.
